Cleaning Your Pool

There really isn’t that much that you need to know about swimming pool cleaners on the whole, except basically that automatic above ground pool cleaners are better for you, and your swimming pool, than your basic old school vacuum pumps; and the reason for that is glaring and very simple. The old school pumps are… well, old school; and they mostly require that you sit there by the swimming pool and watch while the pump does its thing so that you can stop it before it starts to eat up your swimming pool too.

Ok, maybe I’m exaggerating just a little bit, but you really have to do everything by yourself when you are saddled with one of those, including jumping into the pool basin and scrubbing the tiled floor and walls, and mixing up the chemicals that needed to be in the water to keep it clear and clean.

You still have to mix chemicals from time to time even with the automatic pool cleaners, but really not that often. As a matter of fact, there are a few recent pool cleaners that can mix up your chemicals for you even while they do all the cleaning… without you even being any wiser about it. That’s right; these days, you don’t have to worry about how the pool is cleaned as long as you have taken the time to program the automatic pool cleaner as instructed by the manual that came with it.

I could go on, but do I really need to? I certainly would not have enough space to write about all of the automatic pool cleaners pros cons that I know, much less everything that there is to know about them. What you need to know for now is that they are better than the past, and that I don’t envision a near future in which they will be much bested. Furthermore, it is perfectly understandable that they will be more expensive to purchase, so that you had better be prepared to part with top dollar when you are dealing with this type of pool cleaner.
